Expendables Motion Picture Review

Lionsgate recently circulated their star-studded hardcore action flick named ” The Expendables” into theaters last summer. I just watched it,and I think it clearly delivered in the action/explosion department.

They unquestionably came out with all guns a blazing in this one. It stars: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, David Zayas, Giselle Itie, Charisma Carpenter, Gary Daniels, Terry Crews, and Mickey Rourke.

The flick focused on Sylvester Stallone’s character Barney Ross and his all-star club of trained, professional soldiers. They take on an overseas assignment that ultimately goes wrong as they figure out the data they were given wasn’t entirely upfront and straightforward.

They eventually opt to bail on the mission ,but after an ex-team member assaults them, and Barney’s empathy for a person they left behind over there takes over, they elect to go back and just basically obliterate the entire place, the unpleasant men leading it,and aid the beautiful foreign girl.

The flick included an amazing action fight between Gunner (Dolph Lundgren) and Ying Yang , hundreds of men getting killed in an all out gun fight,a massive fight with former WWE wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin who played character Paine, and more. The film concluded with a massive banging finale that involved plenty of explosions, fighting, and more shootouts. The film just showed true, die hard action in its rawest form.

I thought the film was tremendously entertaining. It didn’t possess the most unique premise, but it was enough for me. There was never a bland moment as it moved along at a pretty quick pace, and it also had a bit of comedy as well. Sylvester Stallone did a good job,and still looked to be in impressive physical condition.
