does brandon vera have a better chance than shogun to beat lyoto machida?
vera is scheduled to fight the legend randy couture in manchester england at ufc 105, if i may jump ahead and assume if vera beats couture, and maybe 1 or 2 more high profile wins will put him in line for machida’s belt. my point is vera is very lean and long and will have reach advantage against lyoto, he’s also very consistent with his strikes, especially with his kick boxing background, shogun cant use his signature soccer kicks in ufc, but vera can easily KO anybody with knees, and kicks, also vera is very patient and elusive, so if the fight goes the distance he has a better chance at scoring with the judges by staying on the outside and using his reach advantage.
so in my opinion if vera gets by couture, he stands a good chance to beat machida, especially if he trains with a better camp, like jackson’s, just my 2 cents, what do you guys think ?
vera has no chance against machida and etheir does shogun. the reason shogun is fighting him is becuase shogun has a big name. they want to build machidas name by letting him ko someone with a big name.
