My boyfriend won’t stop buying me brand-name things..?

First he buys me a gucci purse for Christmas, then he gets me D&G sunglasses for my birthday .. I mean they’re nice but it’s not my style at all! I think too many girls wear Coach, Juicy Couture..etcetc.. and I told him this many times before, but I think he buys them for me because he thinks every girl would be happy to get something *expensive*, but that’s not me. I tried hinting him that I hate having things that every girl I see has (like a coach bag) but he just replies with “oh.. well I think it would look good on you”. How can I let him know that I don’t want these things without sounding like I hated my presents??

Tell him that you don’t want anything but his affection next time and you really don’t need expensive gifts and that you are different. Yeah, I have to settle the same thing with my man. O.o
