I don’t know if I should get it because I don’t normally wear gold jewelry, mostly silver =] and it might look too “grandma”-y if you know what i mean

I actually really like it, and I think it’s cute. I think the peace sign keeps it from looking too grandma-y. It’s good because of the statement it makes, and it’s the sort of thing you could wear to a more formal event. Think about that – how often can you get away with wearing a peace sign necklace to something formal? I think you should get it. I’m tempted to get it myself!
