mineral powder foundation VS. liquid foundation?
My face is slightly acne prone, and it has dry patches.
I’m currently using Femme Couture Mineral Effects Mineral Powder. I was wondering if I should switch to a liquid foundation? I’ve never used liquid foundation, so I’m not sure which kind to use or how to use it. Also, is there a mineral liquid foundation?
I participate in my school’s marching band, which means I will sweat ALOT. For afterschool practices, I’ll already have makeup on from school….so which make up would be best for sweating and stuff?
Also, what is good eyeshadow for brown eyes?
If you have dry patches, liquid foundation will be great for you. Revlon has a whole line of liquid foundations, and they have different kinds for different skin types. You would probably get their Normal/Dry bottle. If you wear liquid foundation, you have to set it with powder to make it last longer, so you can apply mineral powder, or any powder, on top. Also, there is one liquid mineral foundation I know of — Maybelline Mineral Power. I don’t know how good or bad it is though, since I’ve never used it.
As far as application, you can put on liquid foundation with your fingers, a makeup sponge, or a stippling brush (google it for a picture). Whatever works best for you is fine. Just make sure it looks even and matches your skin. There should be no line between where your makeup ends and your skin begins.
Applying both liquid and powder foundation can also help for people who sweat. Revlon’s foundation isn’t waterproof, but it doesn’t come off easily, and topped with a powder, it should last through your band practice.
As for eye shadow, brown eyes look good with almost any color. However the color that looks best is probably purple — it makes brown eyes pop, but if you pick the right color, it will still look natural.
