going nightclub night i turn 18?
I get to turn 18 on Wednesday 1st June. But nowhere near me is open on a Wednesday and student night is a Tuesday so some mates said why don’t I go out on the Tuesday as most places probably won’t be bothered if it’s like 3 hours till I turn 18. Plan has been to meet at 9, go a few pubs, then head to the big club by us (Couture, Stafford) at around 11ish. I sent out a facebook event last night to organise it, but someone has said to me today that they went out on the day they were 18 and weren’t allowed in till midnight. This seems strange to me as she was already 18 – it was her birthday that day.
I was wondering if people could give me any advice. Should I phone up the club and see if they will let me in before midnight/after/not at all? Are most pubs going to be bothered? Will it all be ok if I wear a big 18 sash and badge – was planning to? Any recent experiences would be great.
Well if it is the day before you are 18 just go to the club at midnight. Your planning to go there for ’11ish’ anyway so just wait another hour. As long as it is past nidnight it is legally your birthday so as long as you dont turn up REALLY drunk already they wont refuse you entry.
