Juicy Couture’s first independent specialty store in China
Juicy Couture, the U.S. apparel brand, has opened its first independent specialty store in Shanghai in Grand Gateway.
Products sold in the 1800 square feet store cover complete series of Juicy Couture’s products, including men’s apparel, children’s apparel, accessories, handbags, and shoes.
Founded by Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Taylor in 1997, Juicy Couture was originally a senior designer as well as a marketing expert and seller that provides sexy and exquisite apparel and accessories for women. Acquired by Liz Claiborne in 2003, the brand now has expanded its products to men’s clothing, children’s clothing, shoes, glasses, watches, and perfume. Its first retail store was opened in Las Vegas in 2004.
Juicy Couture’s first independent specialty store in Canada
Juicy, which first became known for its bedazzled retro velour tracksuits, has been selling its clothing and accessories in Canada at department stores and other shops since 2003.
“Opening a Juicy Couture boutique in Canada was a natural progression for us,” said Edgar Huber, president of Juicy Couture, adding that retail distribution in the country has been successful to date.
The 2,100-square foot space will showcase Juicy’s signature look, described by the company as a colourful blend of “laid-back California chic with English rock star.”
Other Canadian stores could join the Toronto Yorkdale location on the list of Juicy international freestanding stores including a shop on Bruton Street in London’s upscale west end as well as fashion capitals Dubai and Milan.
“We see the potential for at least three stores in Toronto within the next three years, and strategic expansion to other major metropolitan Canadian cities within the next five years,” Laura Mays, senior vice president of North America for Juicy Couture, said in an email to QMI Agency.
Juicy Couture’s first independent specialty store in Hamptons
Juicy Couture is making a much-anticipated trip to the Hamptons, opening the brand’s first location at 17 Newtown Lane, East Hampton, on May 28.
Juicy will bring everything the brand represents to East Hampton while continuing to expand its freestanding retail store presence. At 1,800 square feet, the boutique will showcase the brand’s creative identity and its position within the fashion world. With vivid and innovative in-store presentations, the brand’s latest setting will be everything a Juicy girl could want!
“We are very pleased to open a Juicy Couture boutique in East Hampton,” said Edgar Huber, president of Juicy Couture. “The store is a beach-inspired oasis that showcases Juicy’s effortlessly fashionable, feminine, and fun point of view. Juicy Couture’s casual luxury positioning make the brand a perfect fit for the Hamptons and we’re confident that the store will resonate with visitors and locals alike.”
Juicy has approximately 100 regular and outlet stores in the U.S. and is available in 60 countries including the U.K., throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
