Pearl Paradise
The Australian South Sea pearls are originated in the Pinctada Maxima pearl oyster, which can only be obtained from diving into rare deep ocean habitats and various oyster hatcheries. Pearls this large are rare, but pearls with the strikingly high luster of those in this necklace are even rarer.
The pearls in this strand are very white, with subtle overtones of silver and rose. While some have some very light blemishing, there are no major inclusions or flaws. These pearls are knotted and strung on a thick silk string, so the piece should not break with normal care. The 18-inch strand is finished with a 14-karat clasp of your choosing.
With a price tag of $42,000, this noteworthy necklace boasts superior AA+ quality golf ball-sized pearls starting at 15.1 millimeters, which then graduate to larger 18.3 millimeters toward the center of the posh piece. This huge strand represents some of the largest pearls produced in the world today.

The TRON Pop-Up Shop set to launch in Los Angeles this November will offer fans a one-stop shop for special and limited-edition TRON merchandise, including this new couture line for women. The shoe designed by Jerome C. Rousseau retails for $795. Or Holiday 2010, the shoe will be utterly sold at the TRON Pop-Up Shop and will expand to selected retailers worldwide in February 2011. Pieces range in from $90 – $2,600 and include earrings and necklaces from jewelry designer Robin Rotenier, handbags from Hayden-Harnett, jewelry from TomTom and unisex belts from Han Cholo.
German jewelry brand Wellendorff boutique released its first boutique in North America, a shop-in-shop situated within retail jeweler Shreve & Co. in San Francisco, California on October 29.
The boutique has its own separate jewelry viewing areas and a coffee bar. Wellendorff has created a special “San Francisco Flower” ring that is only available at the boutique. The outside is a vibrant flower design. Inside there is an engraving of the Golden Gate Bridge and the words San Francisco. Wellendorff jewelry ranges in price from $3,600 to $100,000.
